What ages does Country Kidz Preschool care for?
Country Kidz cares for children from six weeks old through to school age across four rooms - Nursery (6 weeks-2 years), Toddlers (2-3), Pre Kinder (3-4) and Kinder (4-6). During school holidays we also run vacation care for children aged 5 to 12.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Full-day, before-care (6:00 am-8:30 am) and after-care (3:00 pm-6:00 pm) sessions are available.
Where is Country Kidz Preschool located?
Country Kidz Preschool is at 715 Henderson Rd, Tongala VIC 3621, in regional Victoria. You can call us on 03 5859 0194 to arrange a visit.
How much does childcare cost, and can I use the Child Care Subsidy?
A full day is $126.00 and a casual day is $136.00. Most families reduce these fees with the Australian Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS), which you apply for through Centrelink in your myGov account before you start.
Do you provide meals, and can you cater for allergies?
Yes. All meals are made on-site from whole foods with no processed sugars, and every meal is nut-free and egg-free. We cater for allergies as well as cultural and dietary preferences, and babies have their own specialised menus.
How do I enrol my child?
You can start your enrolment online through our Xplor enrolment form. Before your first day you'll provide an Immunisation History Statement, apply for the Child Care Subsidy, complete the enrolment forms and arrange orientation visits with the Centre Director.
Do you offer a kindergarten (preschool) program?
Yes. Our Kinder room runs a structured kindergarten and preschool program in the years before school, building foundation literacy and numeracy through play so children start school confident and ready.
What is your educational philosophy?
Our curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF). We treat every child as a capable, confident learner and centre the day on play-based learning.
